11th Filmsaaz is here.

'Yawar Abdal' Chief Guest 

Aligarh, 16 April: Aligarh Muslim University’s (AMU) University Film Club (UFC) organized the eleventh edition of the international film fest called Filmsaaz.
On the first day, 16th April, the event began at 6:40 pm by an inaugural balloon floating ceremony at the cultural educational center (CEC) lawn. It was followed by a welcome address by the club’s secretary, Mr. Azam Ali Khan, at the Kennedy Auditorium. He spoke on the history and the uniqueness of the forty-four years old club.
The coordinator of CEC, Prof. F.S. Sherani, shared the uniqueness of the Filmsaaz and that it is irreplaceable.
The event was concluded with a musical performance at 7:10 pm by the celebrated Kashmiri singer, songwriter, and composer, Yawar Abdal, who was the chief guest at the occasion. He has hits like Tamanna and Lallewaan to his credit. The 23 years old singer who was earlier interviewed advised the aspiring singers that hard work and dedication is the secret behind success.
The filmsaaz, which is a four-day event is the only film fest in the country that is solely organized by the students of the university. Unlike its previous version, this year Filmsaaz has a gaming zone called the game blast, food section called spice it up and photo booths that will be installed from 17th April.
The event will be carried on for another three eventful days and will end with a felicitation ceremony.
