President Kovind’s visit to Aligarh Muslim University.

Addressing the 65th convocation ceremony of Aligarh Muslim University, The president of India Mr. Ramnath kovind said that, it was an honour to be a part of the convocation ceremony of one of the oldest institutes of India.

He was humbled to acknowledge the fact that the robe he was wearing was actually 60 years old, carrying its legacy from the then Governor general of India Mr. Raj Gopalachari to the likes of Dr Rajendra prasad and Dr. Zakir hussain along with many more prominent figures of the country.

Stating the importance of Amu Mr. president said that amu has always played a vital role in the building of our nation and aluminis of amu had been to prominent posts in the government of Asia and Africa.

Sharing a fact which rather was a proud and surprising moment for amu,he tells that on his visit to Ethiopia he got to know that the wife of Ethiopian prime minister, Mrs Roman tesfaye is also an proud alumuni of amu.

Throwing light on the life of former president Dr. APJ Abdul kalam,Mr. kovind urges the youth of india to learn from lives of such great men and sacrifice foreign delights towork for the betterment and upliftment of our society.

Emphasizing the role of women in building the nation he mentions khushboo mirza another proud alumini of amu hailing from a mediocre family of Amroha who served in the Chandrayan mission. He said that the voice of daughters like them are not meant to be restricted in class but to reach throughout the world.

Mr. president concludes his speech wishing all the graduates and medal recipents a bright future and hoping that this university will move forward hand in hand along with the ongoing advancements in the field of science,education and technology.
