Department of Physics, AMU organizes National Science Day

On the occasion of National Science Day, the Department of Physics organized an event to celebrate the day. The event began at 10:00 AM with the recitation of the Holy Quran and a welcome address by the Chairman of the Department of Physics, AMU, Prof. Sajjad Athar. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Tariq Mansoor, presided over the hour-long event, which included the release of the Physics Bulletin-2023 and Annual Report-2023, as well as the distribution of prizes for various events held for the students of the department.

The event concluded with the singing of the AMU Tarana and the National Anthem, followed by snacks. At 12:00 PM, an open public talk was delivered by the chief guest, Professor Ramakrishna Ramaswamy, on 'The Growth of Complexity Science.' Professor Ramaswamy, who earned his Ph.D. from Princeton University, is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at IIT Delhi.
